MFAS Announces Partnership with Hauora Taiwhenua Rural Health Network (HTRHN)

MFAS and Taiwhenua Rural Health Network have announced a partnership to strengthen their current association.

MFAS Director, Sue Stewart said “this partnership absolutely aligns with our commitment to serving the investment and insurance needs of all New Zealanders and with so many of our clients already living and working in rural Aotearoa New Zealand, strengthening that connection through an organisation with a 30-year history in advocating for the medical profession in our rural communities just makes sense.”

Over the last three decades, HTRHN has worked in partnership with other rural health groups including Rural Health Alliance Aotearoa New Zealand, Rural Nurses New Zealand, New Zealand Rural Hospital Network and Students of Rural Health Aotearoa to advocate for a better future for rural health.

In 2022, HTRHN and its partners decided to come together as one collective organisation to advocate with a united voice for rural health.

This partnering with HTRHN aligns with MFAS’s commitment to ensuring that the financial wellbeing needs of rural health professionals are supported.
